President’s Message

Networking & Marketing ~ These two items go hand in hand.  It's amazing how big or small of a town that we live in and being in business for yourself you must market your business.  I have found networking with other companies in town that good things will come.  Marketing your business you must have some tangible items/products to hand out and leave with people.  Also, you should always return to the place of business where you leave your business cards/portfolio and refill and/or update your product.  It's always good to go into the place of business periodically to see the owner/employees so you will be remembered. 

Marketing, by going out to the public this is one source of marketing.  Of course there is the Internet and the telephone books, but when you personally go out and meet people this makes an impression in ones mind.  Your marketing material should represent the kind of photography you offer.  You may do a little bit of everything, I would suggest that when you are out and about that you leave marketing information about your business according to the type of business it may be.  When you go out to other companies, offer the Owner/Manager some type of incentive for allowing you to leave your marketing pieces.  Remember, your marketing pieces should represent what kind of work you do. 

I would like to thank Michael Gan & Leslie Artis-Gan for coming to PPNV last month.  Wow!  These two are so inspirational!  I was really moved by listening to them speak and enjoyed their presentation.  We would love to you back anytime.  I hope everyone enjoyed the meeting/workshop for those of you who were able to attend. 

I hope everyone is doing well in your business and you are able to meet your goals.  I miss those of you memebers that have not been able to attend and are glad to see those of you have been able to make it to the meetings.  Mark your calendar ahead of time so the meeting don't sneak up on you :)
