President’s Message

Hello Everyone,

I would just want you to know for those of you who have not been able to attend the meetings that we miss seeing you.  So the meetings don’t sneak up on you, mark your calendar for the remainder of the year.  I would like to thank Tom Deininger as our guest speaker and he held a workshop last month.  Thank you Ginny for letting use your studio for the workshop.  What a great place for photography!

Aimee and I went to the PPC Affiliate meeting in San Francisco last month and it’s in the plans to have the PPC Convention in the North area in the year 2009.  If you are a PPC member or you are thinking about joining, they are looking for volunteers for 2008 Convention that will take place in Pasadena.  I believe PPC gives Service Merits for volunteering.  When you have a moment go to the PPC website at www.ppconline and see what they have to offer members.  This is great source to network with other photographers and get information to help you in your business.  PPC is always sending out information about seminars, workshops, schools and upcoming events.  Congratulations to Aimee Hood for  receiving the Members spot light on the PPC Magazine, Pro Photo West.

Once again, we need some help with a few items; 50/50, raffles, and the library.  It would be very much appreciated if someone would step up and help out with these few items.  It makes it very difficult if one person has to do all of these things.  These things have been put in place to make our meetings fun and to help raise funds for our scholarships to the photography schools nearby.
