President’s Message
July 2007
I would like to share with
everyone what wonderful experience I just recently encountered. I
had an engagement session in the bay area on the beach! I was so
excited because this is where I grew up and I miss the ocean and the
sand and the scenery. I kept thinking about the golden hour and
what beautiful images that I will be able to create. I met with my
clients and off we go…We had so much fun!
It’s amazing how you can
capture one’s personality when you meet them for the very first
time. I believe it’s all in the way how you make them feel and what
you say to them and really listen and watch them closely. To make a
great portrait that shows truth, your subject’s personality should
shine through in a sincerely way through your work. When
photographing your clients be confident in making a great portrait.
Create a vision in your mind prior to the session. Your clients
will be excited if they see that you are excited, positive, and
feeling great about the images. Get your clients involved. Ask
them their opinion, locations, poses, and they like when you value
their thoughts. Have fun! If you’re having fun more than likely
your clients are having fun too! It’s a great feeling when you get
feedback from your clients telling you how much fun they had and
when you deliver these wonderful images how happy they will be.
It’s an exciting time because I have created everlasting images for
my clients, having fun doing so and I love what I do!
I would like to thank
Micahel Gan and Leslie Artis-Gan our guest speaker in the month of
June. Their topic was titled “In-Spirit”. This was an excellent
meeting! I was so moved by listening to them speak. By listening
to Michael and Leslie, it really made me think deep within and
remember things back in the days of childhood. They are a true
inspiration to many of us and hope they brought inspiration to all
of you. Congratulations Leslie for your accomplishments! Thank you
so much for coming to PPNV.
We are looking for some
members that would be willing to be on a few committees. I would
like to thank Kristin Visconti, Robin Birmingham for stepping up and
willing to be part of the fundraising committee. If you would like
to inquire please call me anytime. We have some fun events that we
would like to do this year but we need your support.
Remember to bring your
marketing piece(s) that represents your work and/or website at the
next meeting. By attending workshop and seminars it’s most
beneficial to put your education in to action and see the end
results.
I look forward to seeing
you at the meeting. If you know anyone who is interested in PPNV
invite them to the next meeting.
Your President,
Melinda Hunter |
