July's President’s Message
First, I want to thank all of you who purchased a ticket for the Calumet/PPC Raffle! PPNV raised $180. Thank you so much for your support, and GOOD LUCK! July 4th is the drawing. In July, we will be treated to a wonderful program by Michael Van Auken & Peg Jackson. Please check out their websites and bio. RSVP your spot early to get the reduced price! Let's all get together and plan a fun hike! I'll be sending out an e-mail soon. Whiskeytown has those re-discovered falls, and I think that would be a great hike. Another reminder, that we are looking for a new logo, so get your design submitted soon! Even if it's a sketch, it doesn't matter. We need ideas, and we would love member input. I was just recently informed that I was elected as Councilor to PPA. This means that I will be attending the PPA conferences over the next 3 years and will represent our area at the PPA Councilor meetings on very important issues, such as copyright law and other laws that affect us as photographers. If anyone has any issues they would like me to take, please just let me know. For more information on PPA Councilors, you can visit PPA's website. PPA is a wonderful organization. If you are not a member, you should definitely consider joining. They work hard to protect our rights as photographers. Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter. ~Ansel Adams
